EmpowJacob Newsome is the founder of The Narrative Project, a trauma-informed nonprofit that helps survivors, system-impacted youth, and marginalized communities reclaim authorship over their lives through storytelling, healing, and emotional truth. Blending lived experience with public health and advocacy, Jacob has partnered with the Texas Center for the Missing, launched narrative-based school programs, and built spaces where grief becomes power and silence becomes strategy.

He doesn’t believe in healing quietly, he believes in rewriting everything.ering Change Through Collaboration

  • We envision a world where those silenced by systems of oppression relciam authorship of their story

  • To use narrative power as a tool for healing, systemic transformation , education, story telling, and trauma informed care. We will also be expanding our work to juveniles.

  • Radical Honesty- Truth telling without distortion

Narrative Sovereignty- Every voice deserves to tell their story and reclaim it

Liberatory healing-Healing as a tool of resistance, not just self help

    Joy as resistance
